The Karelia Quartet is an award-winning string quartet based in London, formed at the Royal Academy of Music in 2024. They are 1st Prize winners of the Nina Drucker String Quartet Competition, Wolfe Wolfinsohn String Quartet Competition, RAM Historical Women’s Prize, and received 2nd Prize at the 2025 CAVATINA Chamber Music Competition at Wigmore Hall. They have been selected as Kirckman Concert Society Artists for the 2026–27 season and as participants in the European MERITAcubed programme (2026–29). The quartet works under the mentorship of Alex Redington and Sini Simonen, and is quickly establishing a presence at leading venues and festivals across the UK and Europe.
